Courses Available in Philippines Medical Universities:
The medical degree in the Philippines is known as an MD. The degree takes six years to complete, and a student must complete a one-year internship. The first 16 months of the degree are dedicated to earning a Bachelor of Science, followed by four years of medical science training and two years of clinical rotations.
The M.D. program is divided into three stages. The Pre-Medicine program is followed by the first stage, which lasts for three years, and then the second stage lasts for a year. During each stage, students study pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical disciplines such as general medicine and surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics, ENT and so on. In the last year of the medical program, clinical training takes place at linked institutions.

The curriculum at Philippine medical universities is divided into two parts: theory and practical. Students need to have a firm grasp on the material in the first three years of their MBBS program before they can begin to work on more advanced concepts. Throughout their studies, students will be able to participate in internships and practical training.
